Mostly because it's not quite compliant enough do not do weird things it shouldn't on websites that must work fine in Firefox. Like rearranging the content on this webpage when you hover over peoples' pics. Or rendering slashdot.org.

Sorry Steve. I always make you frustrated because I'm a big IE stick-in-the-mud.
Bahh... If it wasn't for IE brain damageness I would have deployed my new look and feel of my website at eviladmin.org!
